For this show, we at Oliphant studio painted over 200 4x4 MDF tiles, columns, moulding and canvas pieces to replicate different types of marble stone.

​

The process involved priming and masking off sections of each tile. Acrylic paint was then poured using buckets and watering cans, manipulated using rollers, brushes and feathers to create realistic textures and veins. A final coat of polyurethane was applied to prevent any damage.
