Portraits made over the last few years using materials familiar to my practice primarily charcoal, soft pastels and paper combined with more recently learnt techniques and material from my work as a scenic painter including canvas, muslin, gesso and acrylic paint.

 

These images are reflections on my experiences of living in a new city, making friends, spending time alone and the search for a sense of belonging and home.
